A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"My partner and I always wanted to try their food. And when we did eat there they did not disappoint us. The bulalo is flavorful and we loved the pizza bangus with toppings and cheese We ate there on weekdays at lunch time so it's not that crowded. The staffs and servings are fast and we didn't wait too long for the foods. We will definitely eat there again"
"Ordered 2x of the php230 bulalo with marrow take out. Authentic taste of delicious bulalo which i miss so much. Peppery taste with a dash of calamansi. Sarap ng sabaw ! Beef strands are tender but marrow is so small. Extra 200ml sabaw will cost you extra php20."
"Despite still feeling a little full after devouring Beef Pares only a few hours earlier, I had to try this viral bulalo joint as part of my Manila Food Crawl. After comparing reviews, I found the feedback for Bulaluhan in Laong Laan to be more positive, and the area much safer, than the option in Quiapo. Choosing Laong Laan was a total no-brainer. The establishment is clean and well-maintained, and the servers are both attentive and polite. Since it wasn't overly crowded, I secured a seat easily. Their system is straightforward, you write your order on a slip of paper, line up, and pay. Once seated, the service is incredibly fast, especially if you aren't ordering from the grilled pork or seafood. The bulalo itself was good, the meat was tender and flavorful, and the serving size was generous enough for two. The ratio of meat to vegetables was perfectly balanced, and I loved that the servers proactively offered extra broth without me even having to ask. This place is a must-visit! PS: Please add more fans."
"My Wife and I passed by Bulalohan sa Laon Laan two days ago and we enjoyed the food we ordered. The inihaw na pusit was big and it was cooked perfectly. In fact, we still ate it the following day (leftover) and it was still good. Fillings inside are fresh and the squid was actually full. I prefer dipping it in soy sauce with kalamansi and chilli, it's better than the atchara and oyster sauce served. We also ordered for ensaladang talong, it's a bit small but it tasted good. We also had liempo steak, it tastes good but somehow it was a bit small in serving. Still, we enjoyed it. Plating of all food was good, it's not the typical grill-plating compared to other ihawan, and even my Wife was surprised since it wasn't like that when they first visited Bulalohan. The melon juice was also good. The staff in the dining area were all courteous and they attended to our needs in an instant. The newly renovated CR looked nice. Maybe they are still in the process of renovating the whole resto since some areas look old compared to the other side which was newly painted. Street-parking, so it's up to you to take the risk, but there was a guy who will assist you as to where to park. Ordering is old-school like, the waitress was taking down your orders in a small piece of paper, hand it over to the cashier for the payment and change, then get a number, and wait for your orders. Once sitted, you'll get a refillable bulalo soup. I wasn't able to order bulalo though, but next visit, will definitely order one. The place is a bit small so don't get disappointed if all tables are occupied. It's the typical bulalohan, so don't look for anything like Instagrammable-fine-dining-ambiance. Just enjoy their food and the smoky-grilled-bulalo ambiance."
"The food is superb! Although the waiting line is very long, apart from the very humid atmosphere of the whole restaurant, the food they serve is all worth it. The grilling station affects the people queuing for the line due to the smoke and bits of ash, and it's very inevitable to stay away from it. The music is very loud as well, you can't eat peacefully. The furnitures has soot due to heat and the grill from the outside."
"Long queues during dinner time but worth the wait Bulalo content is tender and soft, soup is really good Papaitan is also really good Plus it is very cheap for its servings."
"Watch full review on my channel "Lavash Wanderer" on YouTube. You can't find this food anywhere else in the world! A MUST VISIT I so loved this place and the amazing food. The grilled giant calamari is out of this world! You can experience this ONLY in the Phillipines and right at this place. I haven't had much of Bulalo before, but with the bone marrow, it was definitely a tasty one. Thanks to the whole team who made sure that my visit and a whole lot of walk just for this place was not in vain. I'm definitely coming back next time in Manila to try other dishes."
"Their bulalo taste really good . Meat is tender and soup is served hot. Prices are cheap. One bowl of bulalo is only P200. Open air dining newar the roadside. Parking is at the side streets. This a simple eatery so don’t expect much comfort but if you want cheap and delicious food this is a Must try."
